Tracy Gedies
Tracy Gedies has been working at Fanshawe since 1988. She started as a faculty member and coordinator of the Fitness and Health Promotion diploma program and coordinator of the Emergency Management graduate certificate before becoming director of Fanshawe’s Centre for Academic Excellence in 2013. Today, Gedies is the dean of Fanshawe’s Faculty of Media, Design, Peformance and Hospitality Arts.
Impact
Gedies established the Spirit of Fitness and Health Promotion Award to recognize a full-time student of the Fitness and Health Promotion program who exemplifies determination, positive attitude and an overall commitment and contribution to the program. “I look forward to shaking the recipients’ hand, looking them in the eye as I congratulate them for all they have achieved at Fanshawe and encouraging them to continue pushing the boundaries to reach their potential,” says Gedies.
