The Smith Family
The Smith Family established an award to honour Gordon D. Smith, CA, CPA, who was a long-standing fixture among London’s accounting professionals until his retirement. His family felt it was a fitting tribute for his 80th birthday to pay it forward to the next generation of accountants.
Impact
The Gordon Smith Award of Excellence in Accounting is given to a graduate of the Business Administration – Accounting program who demonstrates a strong interest in pursuing a career in accounting. In recognition of Smith’s love of sport, the recipient must also have been involved in Fanshawe Athletics, either varsity, intermural or club membership.
