Stephen Weed
Stephen Weed established an award in 2009 in memory of his late wife, Judy, who passed away in 2007. Judy was a long-time Fanshawe faculty member and former Chair of the School of Nursing who recognized the importance of clinical practice as a key factor in the educational experience for nursing students. She believed clinical experience helped them develop awareness and compassion toward their clients.
Impact
The Judy Weed Clinical Excellence Award in Nursing recognizes a student in the Nursing (Collaborative Degree) program who has completed the first two years of the program at Fanshawe while setting a consistent example of excellence throughout their studies.
