Colleagues, family and friends of Gary Tang
A group of friends, family and colleagues came together to establish an award in memory of Gary Tang, a 1981 graduate of Fanshawe’s Respiratory Therapy program who passed away suddenly in 2009. Gary worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London and at Timmins District Hospital before going to Victoria Hospital as the Clinical Instructor in 1988. In his role as clinical instructor and therapist, he touched so many lives, encouraging professionalism and generosity.
Impact
The Gary Tang Memorial Award recognizes a graduating student in the Respiratory Therapy program who was active in the local community and demonstrated outstanding peer encouragement, interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the program.
