Betty Bedard-Bidwell
Betty Bedard-Bidwell is a two-time Fanshawe graduate – Recreation Leadership (1971) and Child Care Worker (1982) – who went on to become a registered art and play psychotherapist supervisor with over 35 years in the field. Betty leads by example as an enthusiastic and valued member of her community and a foster parent for over 30 years. In 2001, Betty was recognized with a prestigious Premier’s Award.
Impact
Betty created the Betty Bedard-Bidwell Premier’s Award to support a student in Fanshawe’s Human Services division who demonstrates initiative in his/her program placement(s) and makes a significant contribution to the community.
